After reading up on the few companies that produce most of what the majority of Americans use on a daily basis…
…I can say i’m even more disgusted. I knew this was going on, (I mean, that’s capitalism) but finding out the details just fuels my frustration. It’s a little disheartening to know that purchasing silk products in turn supports the factory farming industry (since it’s owned by Dean Foods). Most things in the grocery store are owned by a handful of monopolizing companies. I’m not telling anybody to uproot their lifestyle. I just feel it’s important to know.
Whenever possible… buy local, DIY, and read up!
